Makeup: All About Primer!

Hey there, loves! Welcome back to Freitas & Fashion! Today we will be talking all about primer. As I’ve played with makeup more and more, I’ve realized my favorite step is primer. Having a smooth base for the rest of your makeup makes it go on so much smoother. I’ve tried a lot of primers to solve my pore, dryness, and dark circle problems. The first primer I love to use is my Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base Priming Moisturizer I have dryness around my nose that can cause foundation to look a little cakey but this product makes the area nice and hydrated! I use this if I haven’t washed my face before putting on makeup. If I have, I just use my regular moisturizer as a base for my makeup. Tip: I apply this product with my hands and rub it into my skin!

As I said in my Kylie Skin post, I struggle with large pores around my nose. To solve this I absolutely love the POREfessional Face Primer by Benefit, it’s a cult classic for a reason! It really does fill in  your pores and minimize them. It is also so smooth going on and does not clog your pores at all. I even love putting this on in the morning when I’m wearing no makeup just to create a smooth base for the day and minimize my pores. This is a great product for people who need a little bit of help dealing with the texture on their face.

The third primer i use is for my dark circles. I have really bad dark circles under my eyes and they are very hard to cover with just foundation. Since I started wearing makeup, I have been looking for a good way to cover them, and I finally found a drugstore solution. I use the NYX Professional Makeup Color Correcting Palette peachy shade to color correct under my eyes. This really does make a difference  under normal concealer. If you have bad under eye circles this product is for you. Tip: I recommend putting it on with a small concealer brush and blending it in with a beauty blender.

Some other primers that I love are the Makeup Forever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primer for full face color correcting , this Becca Primer to highlight on my cheekbones for an inner glow under  foundation, and this Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer which is very hydrating.

I love primer and I hope this post helped find one that works for you!
